A representative will meet you at the airport and drive you to your accommodation in Arusha. You will spend the night there, relax and prepare for the adventures ahead. You will have time to explore the city of Arusha and the surrounding area.

After breakfast, departure. First stop in Arusha for last-minute shopping before setting off on safari. Then head to Tarangire Park for a safari with a picnic lunch. Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant population and baobab trees. It is the centre of an annual migration cycle involving up to 3,000 elephants, 25,000 wildebeests and 30,000 zebras.

After an early breakfast, you will descend more than 600 metres into the crater to observe the wildlife. With a year-round supply of water and fodder, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is home to a wide variety of animals, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippopotamus and giant African elephants. Another major attraction of this picturesque park is its large population of predators, including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. We will visit Lake Magadi, an oversized but shallow alkaline lake located in the south-western corner, one of the most remarkable sites in the crater. It is usually home to an impressive number of flamingos, hippopotamuses and other water birds. Transfer to Arusha in the late afternoon.

After breakfast, around 7:30 am, your guide will come to pick you up. You will enjoy a trip to the island aboard a traditional dhow. You will discover the origin of this small island's name and explore this place that is home to more than 50 turtles, some of which are over 100 years old.
